Rabs To Riches

I’m 28 years old.  Been on the Internet since the days of NCSA Mosaic (said in southern drawl Wild Wild West Style).  I graduated with a B.S. in Information Systems and went on to work for a major financial firm as a Java / Oracle developer.  5 years later I had my daughter and decided to stay home (and leech off of a hard working hubby!).  Ofcourse, the career minded woman that I was, I couldn’t give up working all together and only was able to give up my 9-5 paycheck once I had a long term/flexible consulting gig.

However, during the past year, I started exploring options to start businesses online and the various forms of Internet Marketing.  With 2 kids, 3 and 1 at home, I only get about 2-3 hours a day to devote online, but in the past year I’ve learned quite a lot.  This blog is to track my progress as well as give readers a blue print of works and what doesn’t for the ‘Average Jane’.

As for the title of the blog, ‘rabs’ is just the nick that I go by in most of the IM forums.  I thought ‘Rabs to Riches’ was a creative twist on the ‘rags to riches’ phrase to cover my Internet Marketing journey.  And thus, the blog was born.
